Based in Sudbury, the Project Manager, Structural Engineering will report to the Senior Project Manager/Senior Associate and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities.What You’ll Do:The Project Manager, Structural Engineering will be part of the TULLOCH Engineering team. You will:

  • Function as a Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery including bidding and proposal preparation, project setup, logistics, resource and technical planning and execution, billing and collections, and project budget management
  • Establish new projects and provide project updates to the Senior Project Manager and General Manager
  • Actively pursue business development opportunities and procure new clients
  • Manage engineering and design staff in project execution while providing mentorship and direction to your team
  • Perform design and analysis of buildings, bridges, and other new and existing structures
  • Review, check, and approve technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations
  • Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
  • Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Perform construction inspections and construction administration
  • Liaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business development
  • Participate in public and stakeholder consultation
  • Oversee and mentor Engineering Interns and co-op students

  • You have a P.Eng. licence (required)
  • You have 8+ years of experience in the structural consulting industry
  • Bridge design experience is considered an asset
  • Extensive Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an asset
  • You have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your team
  • You make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results
What You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should have:
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Unwavering commitment to healthamp; safety in the workplace
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
