Our clients and projects and varied and diverse. The office is a high energy workspace where we work closely as a team to meet the requirements and deadlines of our clients. We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with minimum 10 years #39; experience in Mechanical design for many types of buildings. This is a position that will allow for growth in leadership of a Mechanical design team.Your role within the team

  • Provide mechanical systems design leadership and project management for design mandates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead or actively participate in, and document, site surveys of existing systems, meetings with clients, contractors and other consultants.
  • Prepare design briefs, schematics, project documents and perform all required engineering calculations.
  • Lead production of all required engineering documents in schematic design, design development and working drawings in collaboration with other team members
  • Supervise, mentor and train junior designers and CAD/Revit operators.
  • Review shop drawings, RFI responses and quotations from contractors.
  • Work with contractors to quickly resolve on site issues and ensure contractor #39;s conformance to design requirements.

The ideal candidate:
  • Bachelor #39;s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) License in the Province of Ontario.
  • 10 years design experience in the buildings sector. Experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Drainage and Fire protection. Design of buildings with an emphasis of Health Care and Institutional work.
  • Demonstrate experience building and maintaining long term relationships with clients (i.e. understanding client objectives, anticipating and meeting client needs, and growing the business).
  • Computer Skills - MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills in English. French is an asset but not required.
