Build a Future at the City of Surrey.Employment StatusUnion - CUPE Local 402 - Regular Full-TimeScopeThe City of Surrey has a Regular Full-Time Clerk Typist 3 position within the Corporate Services – Information Technology Department. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery and Asset Manager, this Clerk Typist 3 role is primarily focused on contract management and the purchasing lifecycle of IT hardware and software used within the Department and throughout the City. The incumbent will be able to work under limited supervision and exercise considerable independent judgement and initiative in carrying the duties of the position.ResponsibilitiesAs a successful candidate you will be responsible for:Purchasing of IT Hardware and Software.Receiving and delivery of IT Hardware and Software.Responsible for IT Invoicing related to Hardware and Software Purchasing.Inventory Management of IT equipment and ensuring adequate supply is maintained.Coordinating and building relationship with various Vendors.Coordinating all tasks related to invoicing.Coordinating the Capital Asset Management Program for IT.Coordinating contract renewals with Vendors and Managers.Software license renewals for non-Microsoft software used by various Departments.Coordinating the disposal of IT equipment.Opportunities to continuously improve and streamline processes related to Purchasing, Receiving, and Invoicing in IT.Drafting related processes (reviewed by the IT Service Delivery Manager).Offboarding tasks related to the return/re-assignment of IT equipment.Providing Backup support to the Senior IT Administrator.QualificationsCompleted grade 12 supplemented by several courses in word processing, office practices and PC office applications.A minimum of two (2) years’ experience and training in an office environment and some supervisory experience.A minimum of 60 wpm typing speed is required.This position requires the completion of a Police Information Check.Conditions of EmploymentThis position requires completion of a Police Information Check.Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.Closing DateThis job will be posted until September 27, 2022.Our ValuesIntegrity - Service - Teamwork - Innovation - CommunityQuick Apply
