Job Description

We are currently looking for a Community Inclusion Worker to assist our non-verbal male client with all activities of daily living. This young man has a passion for music and dancing, enjoys playing with toys and going out for walks in the community.Location:

  • Surrey (260 meters from Scott Road Station)
Shifts and Hours:
  • Looking for one candidate to work 25 hours per week
  • Flexible days and hours (When applying, please include preferred days and hours)
Compensation
  • $26 per hour
Responsibilities (but may not be limited to):
  • All aspects of personal care: washroom care, showering and dressing
  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Light housekeeping duties
  • Accompany going out into the community
  • Comfortable pushing client in wheelchair while out in community
  • Driving clients to activities (must have valid Class 5 drivers license and comfortable driving a mini-van)
  • Assisting client to achieve goals that enhance his health and wellbeing.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1 year of personal support worker experience required
  • 1 year experience with complex behavioral needs
  • Comfortable working with individuals who use sensory skills in social interactionsMust be double vaccinated
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with cats
  • Must have a Class 5 drivers license
  • Bonus: Musically inclined/loves music
