If you are looking for the opportunity to learn and grow your skills while working with a great team of professionals, then keep reading!Our team at A & A is looking to grow rapidly and we are seeking Customs Clearance Coordinators to join our team to provide support to our customers across various shifts throughout the day, evenings, and weekends.The ideal candidate, or candidates, will have previous experience working at a Customs Brokerage and working with various modes of transportation (air, ocean, highways, and rail) and is comfortable working independently to ensure shipments are handled in a timely manner. • Handling general inquiries professionally (internally and externally) over the phone, or through email
• Review documentation and prepare customs release entries for processing
• Communicate with customers to clear shipments, close entries, provide updates, and resolve paperwork issues and customs holds
• Handle and resolve difficult or challenging situations while maintaining first-class service to all internal and external customers
• Maintain strong knowledge of all ports across Canada and the USA
• Assign correct tariff classifications
• Assist in ensuring that all entries are released, classified, and billed accurately and in a timely manner
• Responsible for ensuring that Canadian and U.S. customs regulations are adhered to when completing import and export documents to facilitate the movement of cross-border shipments
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous customs entry release experience
• Experience processing entries across different modes of transportation (highways, rail, air, ocean) is an asset
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is an asset
• High work standards, high level of accuracy
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and meet tight deadlines
• Works well independently
• Strong customer service orientation
• Quick learner and a desire to learn
• Results-driven
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills
