Job Description

This position is for an experienced Driller who is able to do locates and guide and direct Ditch Witch Directional Drill. We are looking for individual who also has class 5 driving license. Telecom experience is essential.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drilling Ditch Witch Horizontal Directional Drill and/or locating
  • Daily reporting of activities
  • Maintenance and inspections of equipment
  • Driver logs and trip inspections
  • Labour as needed
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Experienced candidates with previous drilling
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere including, but is not limited to: carry, raise and climb a ladder, carry, lift and handle heavy equipment (manhole covers, cable reels)
  • Self-disciplined, physically fit, motivated and organized
Experience Required:
  • 2+ years of experience in HDD drilling
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, ability to adjust to changing work schedule, scope of work requirements, etc.
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record
  • Must be drug free and able to pass a drug test
  • Valid clean driver’s license with drivers abstract
Expected Start Date: 2021-06-04Job Types: Full-time, TemporarySalary: $28.00-$32.00 per hourCOVID-19 considerations:All workers are required to wear a mask, wash/sanitize hands often. Practice proper hygiene.Experience:
  • Drilling: 2 years (preferred)
