Solaris has excelled in providing its clients with multi-disciplined professional engineering services, ranging from conceptual design through to project implementation. Solaris specializes in the design of gas plants, compression facilities, metering stations, and pipeline laterals.We are currently looking for a Senior Expeditor. to support our dynamic team. As an integral member of the team, you will have an opportunity to work with individuals from various disciplines in administering the expediting process for assigned projects including planning and development. You will have the opportunity to expedite commodities of various types of equipment, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Pipe Valves and Fittings. Your pride in expediting commodities in compliance with project standards and procedures will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.Responsibilities:

  • Provide Oversight for Expediting Activities
    • Communicate and flow down project requirements to EPs
    • Attend weekly procurement meetings
    • Attend update meetings with Vendor (as required)
    • Review Expediting reports from EPs
    • Assist with resolving any issues / delays with vendors
    • Manage change order review / approvals between EP and required FEI personnel
    • Coordinate with EP Expediters to drive to Construction schedule requirements (RAS dates)
  • Manage and coordinate supplier quality surveillance activities
    • Coordination with scheduling inspectors
    • Coordination with Inspectors for Inspection releases
    • Distribute Inspection Reports (if not directly in Inspector’s scope)
  • Manage and coordinate all shipments from vendors to their final destination
    • Issue shipping release to vendors
  • Support Logistics and Warehouse Manager
    • Manage receiving and OS&D process
    • Coordinate resolution of OS&D’s with Vendor and EP as required
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment as well as pipeline, valves, instrumentation, and related terminology.
  • Ability to create and manage complex Gannt Schedules.
  • A university / college graduate with at least 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of studies and related experience
  • Completion of specialized procurement or business administration courses with working knowledge of commercial and legal aspects of procurement
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks and make technical decisions in accordance with established engineering standards and procedures
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in selecting, classifying, completing, and analyzing data obtained from various sources
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Motivated with solid follow up skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient with Excel
