Job Description

Marathon Hardware has 6 locations across Canada and we proudly distribute thousands of innovative products throughout North America. Our products range from decorative hardware, hinges & opening systems, drawers & slides, and kitchen storage accessories. Our roots have been firmly planted in Canada for nearly 30 years. We take pride in both our team and ability to serve our customers with the utmost professionalism and personability.We are currently seeking a result driven individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager this individual will be responsible for the overall recruitment and onboarding process of new hires. They will provide support to the Human Resources Manager with HR related administrative duties and act as a point of contact to internal customers.Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Human Resources Manager and Department Managers to create and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Develop, plan, and execute efficient recruitment strategies using diverse methodologies.
  • Manage job posting in internal ATS and external job posting sites.
  • Support recruitment needs and demands of six branches across Canada.
  • Source applicants, screen resumes, conduct pre-screens, and schedule interviews with managers.
  • Conduct background checks and upload back check forms to employee profiles.
  • Conduct reference checks for selected candidates.
  • Assist with preparing offer letters and onboarding new employees into HRIS.
  • Provide new employees with benefits package and assist with benefits set up for new employees.
  • Assist with new hire announcements.
  • Welcome new employees and conduct first day orientations.
  • Assist with other HR related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Postsecondary degree in Human Resources or similar field.
  • CHRP or workings towards it.
  • ADP workforce now experience an asset.
  • Self motivated individual with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills and experience in dealing with internal customers.
