Job DescriptionA & A is in search of an Information Technology Manager to provide leadership and direction in the areas of IT infrastructure and to act as a resource to the wider team; sharing your experience and expertise in an effort to better the organization. The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring best practices are implemented for the company’s network and systems at its Canadian and U.S. facilities. The right candidate will come with a high level of humility and a Make it Happen attitude!Major responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day IT and system interactions with operational and finance departments:

• Proactively manage day-to-day IT-related systems and processes to troubleshoot and escalate cases where required in a timely manner
• Manages network services including security, user accounts, server configuration, data backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, and obsolescence planning
• Drive the technical roadmap in alignment with A & As business strategies, priorities, and growth plans
• Manages supplier relationships to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases
• Oversee 24x7 day-to-day operations of the technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, manufacturing equipment, databases, and cloud-based data/software
• Recommends a comprehensive and up to date technology infrastructure to support the organization
• Develops and recommends a long-term strategy for information systems to support the company’s strategic objectives
• Implementation of new technologies as agreed to in the corporate planning process which includes systems migration, deployment, and training for staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a senior IT role
• Experience leading the needs assessment, design & implementation of new technology platforms
• Familiarity with typical practices related to: contract negotiation, contractor management, space planning, process management general building maintenance, and office management
• Extensive knowledge of IT systems hardware, software applications, products, and solutions
• Demonstrates technical support experience in a diverse computing environment, and an ability to work with people with a wide range of technical backgrounds
• Ability to develop cooperative relationships and work effectively with senior management, peers, subordinates, customers, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
• Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
