In this role, the manager works with and reports to Dr. Daniel Bernstein. Manage all data and links for the Lifespan Cognition Online Study (LCOS) project as well as maintain the Lifespan in-person data set. This includes data for scheduling, testing, and all required Qualtrics links for LCOS. Manage data requests for LCOS data or in-person lifespan data from lab members. Estimated weekly hours are 15 – 25 per week with the ability to work remotely for most of the hours.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data management team and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Make requested changes to the links/stimuli
  • Working knowledge of Qualtrics and Pavlovia (or ability to learn these systems)
  • Update, tidy, and clean data regularly
  • Keep copies of all Raw Data stored in the proper folders in OneDrive
  • Write full protocols/manual for how to maintain the links and data for future use.
  • Manage data required to schedule participants (upload weekly pre-screen data sheets)
  • Assist with or delegate management of mailing list updates
  • Create website and social media traffic reports with the data team to be sent to the LCOS Project Manager.
  • Manage, train and mentor the RAs on the data management team to help with Qualtrics edits, data cleaning, etc.
  • Setting up and maintaining a database for the online and in–person project
  • Oversee the rescoring and coding of the in-person data sets
Job RequirementsThis job requires good interpersonal, time management, and leadership skills. Working knowledge of research-related programs such as Romeo, SONA, SPSS, and Microsoft Office are also requirements of the position. Proof of TCPS-2 Core must be provided before starting the position. Coding background is required and experience in HTML and Java Script is preferred. In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, R Studio and R programming language or another software like Python (for data tidying, cleaning, analyses, etc.). Experience building and maintaining databases (SQL or other Query languages an asset).
