  • We are seeking a Logistic/Warehouse Coordinator, to work in our New Westminster Warehouse, that is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor overseeing staff and receiving and assisting with processing all International Customer Orders. We are a company that is growing fast so we need someone willing to learn or have import/export logistics experience to work in our New Westminster Location, which is a block from the Sapperton Sky Train Station.
Hours are Monday to Friday (7:00 am to 3:30 pm.) This position reports directly to the Distribution & Warehouse Manager.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, organize, mentor, and manage others; including staff training and participating in staff performance reviews
  • Ensures the collection, preparation, and completion of the proper documentation for international shipments. Including, preparation of the appropriate approved documentation for the freight forwarder such as commercial invoice, packing slip, CERS, and other approved and certified documentation for custom agents; may include manufacturer declaration, import declaration, bill of lading, etc.;
  • Coordination of outgoing shipments between production, quality control, custom brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers
  • Communicate with warehouse, sales, and quality control for completion of palletization, packing slip, QA documents, and invoice for international shipments
  • Responsible for coordination and follow-up on documents required for export with clients or their agents (if required)
  • Schedule pickups with local carriers for inbound and outbound international/local shipments, and provides proper shipping documents for customs clearance. Ensures the correct packaging and labeling of various products for outgoing international shipments
  • Coordinate with customers, other departments, transport carriers, and freight forwarders on the delivery of the shipments
  • Assists in creating work orders & assigning work orders to the warehouse staff and following up on the tasks assigned
  • Verify incoming shipments, correct errors by comparing the quality and quantity of items unloaded against; bills of lading, invoices, manifests, or other records
  • Data entry of product information using a manual key-in/hand-held scanner into the warehouse database for international orders and inventory tracking to assure accuracy and completeness
  • Identifies product shortages/damages from delivery upon receipt of product
  • Monitors the departmental inventory to ensure the accurate allocation and tracking of products. Conducts physical inventories cycle count for department supplies to verify stock and identify losses and damages
  • Learns, understands, and complies with all company policies. Adheres to all safety & GMP procedures in the performance of job duties
  • Maintains warehouse organization and cleanliness and provides support in the planning of the warehouse layout
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
  • It’s an asset if the candidate knows the Global Logistics, or a Transportation Industry Certificate/Degree from a recognized logistics/warehouse program
  • Must have Warehouse Supervisor Experience of 1+ year
  • Review all Import & Export documents before providing them to Customs
  • Experience with inventory control systems, RF Scanner, ERP software, and procedures is strongly preferred
  • Ability to stay on your feet for a longer period of time and lift heavy boxes up to 45lbs
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Work requires superior communication, (verbal/written)
  • Should have the proven ability to organize and build relationships
