Job Description

BA Blacktop, a subsidiary of Eurovia (VINCI Group) was founded in the Province of British Columbia in 1956. We have grown to become a major general contractor and design-builder, with a progressive and multi-disciplined group of companies delivering specialized paving, concrete, milling, reclaiming, and recycling services, as well as multi-span bridge construction and innovative concrete structure solutions to clients throughout British Columbia.BA Blacktop Ltd. is currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team at our North Vancouver Office Location.All tasks require a high level of accuracy to ensure the correct processing of information.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Calculate employees worked payable hours, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll for hourly, and salary employees
  • Ensure all banking information for each employee is correct
  • Keep employee information updated.
  • Process ROEs
  • Process full-cycle employee benefits; enrolment, changes & terminations
  • Create supporting documentation such as pay slips and tax forms
  • Create reports to manage payroll payments, deductions, and other regular modifications
  • Manage payroll errors and correct issues for employees
  • Balance yearly reports and resolve bank statements every month
  • Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
  • Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience with union agreements is an asset
  • Intermediate computer skills (including MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Ability to focus on established priorities, and attention to detail
