Grow with Argus** This is a hybrid role, a successful candidate is required to attend the office**Product Manager – Control SystemsReporting to: VP of marketing and product managementPosition Summary:The Product Manager – Control Systems is responsible for driving the development, launch, marketing, and improvement of the company’s control system products throughout their lifecycle, which includes a mix of tactical and strategic duties. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Management and Marketing, your primary role will be to realize and influence the defined high-level product vision by working closely with engineering on the development and the outbound teams on market success.Key responsibilities:

  • Research. Develop knowledge of competitors’ product offerings and assist in identifying market opportunities to ensure the products remain competitive and differentiated in the marketplace.
  • Product Roadmap. Gather requirements from conversations with customers and prospects, research market trends and input from internal stakeholders to define a clear roadmap of requirements that aligns with the product vision. Set priorities for delivery across a set release cadence. Validate plans often with customers and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Development Teams. Provide guidance to R&D, as the voice of the customer, ensuring features delivered meet the needs of the key personas. Create epics and stories and manage the backlog in close collaboration with the software development team. Effectively communicate concerns with the team to ensure the solution delivered meets customer’s expectations
  • Develop and Foster Internal Relationships. Network with and establish influence and trust with key leaders across the organization, including Engineering, Marketing, Support, Sales and other functions.
  • Lifecycle Management. Monitor and manage the evolution of features and profitability of products after launch and through the maturation and sunset phases of key products
  • Product Champion. Evangelize product/features to both internal and external customers, hosting customer conversations and attending/presenting at relevant events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Controls Technologies, or a combination of thereof
  • 5+ years of experience in software, high-tech or highly engineered product sectors
  • 2-3 years of product management experience in controls, complex hardware/software/firmware products, or other high-tech products
  • Experience and flexibility with hybrids of waterfall, agile and lifecycle management models
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity and manage cross-functional teams through influence
  • Exceptional communicator, with keen problem solving, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Experience working with agile development teams and creating and managing a backlog of requirements to a set release schedule
  • Involvement in working with UX/UI teams in designing a compelling customer experience
  • Passion and curiosity for identifying and solving client problems with innovative products
