Job Description

Equivalent ExperienceAerotek is hiring a skilled laborer for our client in Surrey, BC (Full-time, long-term)Our client designs and manufactures pipes for the oil, gas and mining industry!JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • These candidates will be working with a global company in the mining/oil & gas industry.
  • This company manufactures and repairs carbon steel pipe spools that are used in the mineral extraction.
  • For this specific role, candidates will line the inside of the pipes with a rubber following fabrication.
  • Duties include, reading/interpreting blueprints, operating overhead crane and forklift, operating small hand and power tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years experience in an industrial/manufacturing/construction setting
  • Reliable transportation (site not transit accessible)
  • Willing to submit to pre-screening D/A and back check
  • Able to work both morning and afternoon shift
  • Willing to wear a respirator (must be clean shaven for proper fit)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Candidates will start on morning shift and be asked to worked afternoons later this year.
  • Morning: 6:00am-2:30pm (M-F)
  • Afternoons: 2:30pm-1:00am (M-Th)
COMPENSATION:
  • Wage: $27.17/hour + $1.50/hour premium for afternoons
  • Benefits
  • Vacation, sick pay, stat pay
