Are you a rock star experienced electronic security technician looking to make a change in your careerDo you want the flexibility to manage your schedule and workloadDo you want to split your time between working on the tools in the field and helping run the department either remotely or from the officeInternational Loss Prevention Systems (ILPS for short) is a locally owned and operated family-run security integrator serving customers throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.We are looking to fill a unique role in our company. We are looking for an individual who has a strong (5+ years) technical background in electronic security systems (CCTV, intrusion alarm, access control, building intercom, data/telecom) that can be a lead hand on larger jobs, assist with sales quotes based on-site surveys or technicians notes, write scope of work documents to assist technicians complete installs, assist with technical support from time to time from both our customers and technicians and run service calls periodically as required.This persons time would be split between working directly on the tools on job sites and working on administration duties, either from our head office in Surrey or remotely.This role requires someone who is highly organized, has a great personality to be able to interact directly with our customers and internal office staff has the patients and understanding to assist with explaining jobs, service requirements, and hardware needs to both customers and office staff, and the ability to be self-sufficient and work independently as they find their way in our company.We also offer 24/7 emergency service to some of our valued customers and while it doesn't happen often, the individual would be required to participate in our companies on-call schedule where they'd be available to run emergency service calls after hours as required (a busy week of on-call is average 1-2 call-outs).We are looking for someone with experience on the following hardware:Intrusion Alarm: DSC, Honeywell, DMPCCTVBoth analog and IP based CCTV systems including plug and play DVR / camera systems and large scale video server systems with multiple network switches throughout the facilityAccess ControlWe are primarily a Kantech certified dealer and as such focus on the Kantech line of products including the KT400, KT200, KT300, and KT1 lines of access control panels. We also service and install the Mircom TX3 line of productsData / TelecomWhile we don't do a lot of data / telecom cabling the individual we're looking to hire should have basic experience in the proper techniques of cabling, installing network rack hardware, terminations of data jacks (keystones), as well as a good understanding of proper cable management, basic electrical code as it relates to cabling, and good practices as it relates to terminations and mounting of hardware.Ideally, you will bring your own basic hand tools and all required power tools such as drills, saws, diagnostic testing equipment, inspection equipment, and other misc electronic equipment will be provided by the company. To assist with your administration duties the company will provide a laptop for your use and will pay a portion of your cell phone bill to cover any work-related communications. Lastly, you will be given the option of either driving a company vehicle or your own personal vehicle, for which you'd be compensated for travel time and KM to and from work.Any specialty training such as safety courses, lift tickets, fall protection, and manufactures training as well as any special equipment required for these tasks is provided by the company.Job Type: PermanentSalary: $30.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits:
