Job Description

Om Foods Inc. is an organic foods importer, packager, and retailer located in South Surrey, BC. We are currently looking for one Warehouse Manager to join our 26-person team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and hard-working.Responsibilities

    *Ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently and safely. *Shipping and receiving international and domestic shipments. *Maintaining organization and cleanliness of warehouse. *Following, creating, and optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs). *Pest detection and control to prevent product loss. *Managing inventory needs in relation to production and retail departments. *Maintaining good communication with all team members. *Training warehouse staff on equipment, procedures, and guidelines. *Providing regular updates to Operations Manager regarding warehouse performance and needs. *Operation of 5-ton truck and delivery van with weekly cross-border shipments and occasional local pickups and deliveries. *Reporting and preventing safety incidents. *35-40 hr/wk, day shift only
Qualifications/Experience
    *Min. 2-yr experience in managing a warehouse. *Valid passport. *Valid class-5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract. *Background check for cross-border security concerns. *Experience performing basic maintenance on warehouse equipment and vehicles. *Experience with ERP systems. *Experience with spreadsheet and document software. *Preference for First Aid training. *Forklift and reach truck tickets. *Fluency in English, preference to other relevant language proficiencies.
