Job Description

Hours of Work: 15 hour day shifts (between nine and twelve 15-hour shifts per month, with Agreement to Average Work Hours according to the Saskatchewan Employment Act, with overtime after 12 hours/day). 6am-9pm.Rate of Pay: 16.56/hourWork From Home - in office training. Local candidates preferred.Manages the electronic centralized scheduling of staff in compliance with all requirements within the collective agreement and fills vacant shifts.DUTIES

  • Develop electronic schedule rotations in consultation with direct supervisor in accordance with requirements and the collective bargaining agreement, ensuring effective utilization of staff
  • Develop and ensure distribution of posted schedules in compliance with all requirements and the collective agreement
  • Consider and approve/deny requests for time off in keeping with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, ability to staff, and budgetary guidelines
  • Input changes to the schedule that arise during the posting period and the actual pay period
  • Process daily approval of staff clock-ins online and authorize the payroll submissions on a bi-weekly basis to the posted schedule
  • Participate in training of any leaders doing scheduling to ensure uninterrupted provision of schedules
  • Answer on-call phone for scheduling changes and fill vacancies
  • Communicate updates and outstanding tasks to the Scheduling Team
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Minimum one year of electronic scheduling preferred
  • Experience with a computerized scheduling system
  • Strong technology skills required, with proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, MS Outlook
  • Ability to understand and implement collective agreement and Saskatchewan Employment Standards Act provisions
  • Ability to deal with difficult or sensitive situations
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent computer, organizational, time management and communications skills with superior attention to detail
  • Unquestionable tact and confidentiality
  • Collaborative communication and teamwork
  • Objective, logical judgement
