The successful applicant will be part of a team of 8 anesthesiologists serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and the surrounding communities with a catchment area of over 150,000. There is opportunity to engage in research and/or have medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University, should that be of interest.Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a 250-bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. The Anesthesiology service at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital is equipped to provide a full range of specialised care.Applications are accepted until Monday, September 13, 2021.*Responsibilities*

  • provide hospital and call support as required
  • contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
  • contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)
  • eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
