The Emerging Indigenous Curator will help to build upon existing research into the theme, and work collaboratively with the dynamic and creative team at the Centre.The successful candidate will assist with the final artist selection for four (4) thematic group exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and a virtual Speaker Series, with the goal of creating a community of sustainable practice within the Unama’ki-Cape Breton Island craft sector. Additionally, the Emerging Indigenous Curator will be expected to lead the artist outreach, produce written exhibition content, as well as reports and budget management, with the full support of Centre staff. On the job training will be provided to the successful candidate.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate OR passionate individual who is seeking a career in the arts to develop public programming, exhibition curation, and writing experience within a supportive and collaborative working environment.
