Requisition ID: 35828Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 200,000 - 250,000Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For ServiceSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramDepartment of Health & Wellness Incentives: Debt Assistance; Family Medicine Bursary Program; Tuition ReliefAbout This OpportunitySydney Primary Care Medical Clinic is seeking a family physician to join their collaborative team of five family physicians, one nurse practitioner, one registered nurse, one licensed practical nurse, one social worker, and one dietician.This clinic has reception staff and an office manager. It is fully integrated on the EMR System and is also an academic practice that works with Dalhousie University.Responsibilities

  • work a full scope of practice as a family physician
  • provide care for patients at all stages of life
  • care for inpatients at CBRH
  • consult and refer to other medical practitioners
  • act as a patient advocate
  • prescribe and administer medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations
Expected Hours
  • full-time: 37.5 hours per week
  • on call requirement
  • 46 weeks per year
  • four weeks vaction
  • two weeks of continuing medical education
Qualifications
  • all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • all family physician must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
