Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per weekDuration: ContinuingRemuneration: Academic Level B (123,620 - $145,730 per annum) based on experience + 17% Super + Annual Leave LoadingLocation: Kensington, New South WalesThe OrganisationThe School of Health Sciences at UNSW is rapidly expanding to service education agendas based on our four ground-breaking health professional education programs. These programs will see the scope of our teaching effort broaden significantly and shape the future Health workforce in Australia and beyond.Why this role matters:UNSW’s Education Focussed (EF) roles enable academics to specialise in education and devote their time to delivering high-quality teaching and pursuing initiatives to enhance the educational experience of our students. Those who are appointed to this prestigious specialism will be expected to successfully drive educational excellence within the university’s teaching and learning communities.The appointee will make a significant contribution to content development and delivery in Behaviour Change and Sports Psychology content for the Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology programs in the School of Health Sciences.The role will report to the Discipline Lead Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology and the Head of School and has no direct reportsSkills Required:

  • A completed PhD in a related discipline (Exercise or Psychology/Behaviour Change)
  • Demonstrated experience in sub-disciplinary areas of exercise behaviour change, and/or health or sport psychology.
  • Proven commitment to proactive maintenance of discipline knowledge and development.
  • Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programs (degrees), at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry and work-integrated learning.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of healthamp; safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
