This is done through classroom lectures, practical exercises and evaluations. In addition to traditional face to face classroom activities, instructors may be required to deliver distance learning courses using the Coast Guard #39;s Learning Management System.Work environmentThe Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) owns and operates the federal government #39;s civilian fleet, and provides key maritime services to Canadians. As a Special Operating Agency of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), the CCG helps DFO meet its responsibility to ensure safe and accessible waterways for Canadians. The CCG also plays a key role in ensuring the sustainable use and development of Canada #39;s oceans and waterways.This position is in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It is necessary for Instructors to physically work at the Canadian Coast Guard College (CCGC).Intent of the processThe Canadian Coast Guard College is interested in the recruitment and retention of qualified individuals who are seeking a challenge that includes the modernization of teaching practices to personnel in an operational environment.
