Our neurology service functions as a referral center for Cape Breton Island and covers a broad and diverse array of neurological conditions, including specialty clinics for MS, EEG and EMG studies, and stroke inpatient service supported by a multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will work with two other Neurologists to provide services to the area. The Cape Breton Regional Municipality and the surrounding communities have a population of 130,000. This Neurology position is full time with teaching opportunities. There is an on call requirement that allows a positive work life balance.Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a 250 bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. The radiology service at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital includes an interventional service and is equipped to provide a full range of diagnostic imaging.Qualifications

  • candidates must be certified, or eligible for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS),
  • and satisfy the credentialing requirements of the Nova Scotia Health
