The Family Connections Program is designed to provide an integrated service approach to meet the mental, social, physical, and emotional needs of the students and their families within Horizon School Division. The Program Manager will be responsible and accountable for providing leadership, direction, and structure to support the overall vision and mission of the Mental Health Capacity Building Initiative within Horizon School DivisionDuties and responsibilities of the position include:Developing and implementing a service plan that aligns with MHCB Initiative objectives; Including the provision of back-up success/wellness coach responsibilities as required.Ensuring timely submission of financial, statistical, and narrative reports as required by AHSOverseeing the dissemination and completion of evaluation surveys as required by AHS;Liaising with school administration, community partners and other stakeholders;Overseeing and ensuring overall quality and consistency of services;Leadership, coordination and supervision of other MHCB staff members;Providing a high level of fiscal control and accountability for the budget in partnership with the Clinical Team LeaderThis position requires someone who has been formally educated in the health or social sciences field (such as health promotion & prevention, social work, nursing, psychology, public health) and who can mentor and support success coaches, provide supervision and collaborate with community partners while managing service needs and priorities. An understanding of health promotion and prevention philosophy, strategies and principles is essential.This person is also responsible for ensuring programming meets provincial standards; maintaining records in accordance with HIA and FOIPP; and ensures compliance with all relevant Alberta Health Services (AHS) policies, contracts, and special agreements.Qualifications and work experienceA related post-secondary degree or diploma in social sciencesAt least 3 years of experience working in addiction and mental health with promotion and prevention work an asset.Knowledge of mental health and wellness, health promotion and prevention and child and youth developmentEffective verbal and written skills including the ability to listen to others and communicate clearlySelf-directedInvolvement in community committees and strong facilitation skillsSkill and knowledge in program development, facilitation and implementation, as well as change management.Solid comprehension and practice of personal and professional boundariesResilience & a commitment to personal developmentAbility to maintain healthy work-life balanceProficient in Microsoft Office programsAll employees must provide a criminal record check.All professions must provide proof of licensure or registration with the approved Alberta regulatory college, prior to commencing duties where applicable:Regulated health professions under the Alberta Health Professions Act and Health Disciplines Act will be required to show an original copy of a valid practice permit before commencing their duties.Quick Apply
