Job Description

Apprentice/Assistant Cook position – Clearview LodgeClearview Lodge is actively recruiting a Full Time Assistant Cook, with the opportunity to apprentice in a Journeyman Cook tradeDuties

  • Preparing meals in accordance with the menu plan with guidance from the Red Seal Chef for residents, MOW clients and staff at the Clearview Lodge.
  • Following all Health and Safety guidelines and policies.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized Kitchen
  • Working as a Team with Kitchen Aids and all Staff that are employed by Taber & District Housing Foundation.
  • Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to complete administrative duties that pertain to the operation of “Food Services”.
  • Serving meals and maintaining open communication and friendliness with the residents of the lodge.
Requirements
  • Kitchen and Restaurant experience is an asset.
  • Genuine interest in becoming a Journeyman in the ‘Cook Trade”
  • Able to pass a Vulnerable Criminal Record Check
  • Able to work Weekends, Nights, Afternoons, Early Mornings, and all Holidays when necessary.
  • Must be physically fit, able to stand and flex in different positions for long periods of time.
  • Must be fully vaccinated prior to commencement of employment
