This position will include:Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of all food and beverage menus items and their presentation; as well as, sides and choices associated with each itemServing and ensuring guests meals are pleasant and enjoyableClear and reset tablesCheck tables for proper setting and suppliesWhen necessary, take room service orders, set up the trays and deliver the orders. If necessary, remove/return dishes/room service trays from hallwaysHandle financial transactions within the restaurant during his or her shiftProvide a reconciliation of cash, charges and floats throughout the shiftKeep work area stocked, organized and clean at all timesRespond to guest concerns and complaints quickly and efficientlyEnsure work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times, reporting any deficiencies as necessaryPerform any other job-related duties assigned by the supervisorWho we are looking for:Must have well-groomed appearance at all timesAbility to work cooperativelyMust have physical stamina to maintain a rigorous pace of workMust know how to operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment located in the restaurantApply safe work practices where establishedMust be available to work evenings and weekendsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust abide by the dress code standardsSome physical labour and heavy lifting is requiredMust be able to perform efficiently under pressure and within time restraintsMust be honest and trustworthySkill Requirements:Excellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsMust have the ability to handle and solve customer related concerns and complaints and report to supervisor as necessaryKnowledge and Training:Complete familiarity with operation of POS systemsKnowledge of WHMIS programResponsible liquor service certificate / training (ProServe)Industry Experience:.Minimum one-year previous experience as a serverThank you to all applicants for their interest in this opportunity, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Quick Apply
