SummaryReporting to the Senior VP of Operations, the Construction and Manufacturing Team Leader will work with management and his team to achieve the underwriting objectives and will be responsible for analyzing the risks of manufacturers, wholesalers, contractors and will be responsible for underwriting applications while ensuring that the quality of the risks underwritten is adequate in order to achieve the maximum profitability sought.Main responsibilities· Underwrite and service renewals according to the guidelines of the various programs and contracts· Develop, underwrite and service new business in accordance with program and contract guidelines or as a wholesaler· Develop business relationships with existing and new brokers through marketing visits· Act as a liaison between brokers and insurers to negotiate and determine insurance terms· Represent the company at industry events as requiredTeam Leader Responsibilities· Guide, support and assist team members in achieving results· Assign tasks to team members, including those he/she will manage· Determine timeline and monitor progress to ensure the project is on track· Provide coaching sessions, conduct formal performance management, provide documentation, ensure motivation and development, plan and conduct team meeting· Track trends, maintain and develop or improve standard operating procedures with the teamProfile· Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial underwriting, mainly for contractors insurance, including 3 years as a team leader· CRM, CIP or FCIP an asset· Advanced level of English and French, oral and written (Required)· Ability to analyze and make decisions under pressure· Adaptability and flexibility in the face of change· Excellent negotiation skills· Sense of responsibility and priorities· High level of service and always in solution mode for the benefit of our fast growing clienteleBenefits· Offices available in Brossard, Montreal, Saint-Leonard or Terrebonne depending on your location· Telecommuting in hybrid modefor work-life balance· Group insurance and access to RRSP/DPSP (following probation)· Floating days+ 1 anniversary day· Bonus program· Ongoing Courses Reimbursement ProgramJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
