Job Description

Affinity Group Canada is a well established successful and growing company that prides itself on being one of the premier food brokers in Canada.Since 1989, our success has been driven by the number of industry leading food manufacturers that we represent.We pride ourselves on having a dedicated sales team, strong customer service orientation, extensive product knowledge and a professional, challenging and rewarding work environment.SUMMARY:This is an internal sales position requiring strong communication, customer service and time management skills.Success in this role will require a passion for developing new business with a high degree of dedication, professionalism and integrity.During a typical week you will be responsible, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Seek and explore all sales leads and opportunities, working with Outside Sales and reporting feedback to Management.
  • Develop and maintain accurate customer data in CRM system.
  • Work with Client Managers to understand current promotions, special offers and inform customers of relevant product updates
  • Follow-up with customers to obtain feedback
  • Explain and demonstrate features and benefits of products and services
  • Stay informed about brands and products
The successful candidates must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in customer service or sales – preferably in a Foodservice environment
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Occasional travel to customers’ locations is required
  • Follow-up with customers to obtain feedback
  • Understanding of the importance of fast and accurate responses
  • Outstanding telephone skills with impressive ability to relate over the phone, good speaking voice, and able to deal with multiple levels within organizations
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English (French an asset)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM a definite asset
