Ref ID: 05090-0012309398Classification: SOX Compliance Manager/DirectorCompensation: $110000.00 to $125000.00 yearlyOur client, a Canadian leader in telecommunications, is looking for a SOX Controller to join their Sarbanes Oxley, SOX, team on a permanent basis. The Internal Auditor will be reporting to the Director, Internal Audit and his/her responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:• Establish and assess compliance with SOX regulations and support SOX certification. Section 404 (USA) and National Instrument Section 52-109 (Canada)• Implement SOX audit plan in new line of business based on scoping and risk assessment• Assess fraud risk and Information Technology General Controls, ITGC, in compliance with COSO• Plan, organize and execute SOX audits• Report audit test results and document scope, procedures, findings, and recommendations• Interact with external auditors to increase audit effectiveness and efficiency• Create SOX reports and present results to Executive leaders and the Audit Committee of the Board• Lead and coach a team of 5 peopleJob Requirements:Qualifications• 5+ years of external or internal audit, with SOX and IT audit experience• CPA Designation, CIA, SOX Certification• Familiar with COSO and COBIT frameworks• Strong knowledge of compliance with IFRS, SOX and ITGC• Solid project management skills to work with multiple priorities and timelines• Ability to communicate and negotiate with Senior Management in complex and potentially confrontational situations• Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge the status quo• Ability to work in a team and foster open communication• Previous experience using SAP and ACLRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
