Job Description

At Queen Cabinets we provide contractors across Southwestern Ontario with fully-assembled cabinets for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and laundry rooms. Centrally located in Tilbury, we offer affordable prices, a quick turn-around time, and reliable delivery of cabinets that meet industry standards and exceed customers expectations.EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Receive and stow inventory;
  • Wrap and store orders;
  • Load orders into trucks for delivery;
  • Operate carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move large quantities of products;
  • Safe operation of general hand, air, and power tools;
  • Safe operation of woodworking machinery and equipment;
  • Interaction with some heavy machinery and moving equipment to efficiently transfer and deliver product for storage;
  • Assemble kitchen cabinets and vanities;
  • Janitorial responsibilities, including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping, to maintain a tidy warehouse;
  • Work in compliance with all administrative procedures and health and safety policies, as per legislative requirements and as outlined in the company policies;
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required, such as safety glasses, mask, safety boots, gloves, and ear protection; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may be required;
  • Stand/walk and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced facility;
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent experience;
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, as well as other written instructions and design specifications;
  • Strong mathematical knowledge and ability to read/take accurate measurements;
  • Participate in compulsory training as deemed necessary for the role;
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently;
  • Valid Ontario class ‘G’ driver’s license;
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification an asset;
  • Valid lift truck training and certification an asset; and
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $17.00-$20.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
