Financial Analyst - Contract Opportunity located in Toronto, Ontario! Robert Half is working with a fast-growing, dynamic team looking for a Financial Analyst who will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This role is with a company in the Insurance industry. Located in the Toronto, Ontario, area, this Financial Analyst role is a 4-month contract opportunity with potential to extend/turn permanent and will require you to work in the office 3 days per week (and the other two days from home). Conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, will be among the Financial Analyst #39;s duties. The Financial Analyst will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. Your responsibilities: - This position would suit a flexible individual that has experience managing large amounts of information and meeting expectations - Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P- Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support - Complete and direct forecasting reports - Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending - Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process - Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required - Operate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning - Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations - Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans - 2 -3 years of related Accounting experience in a corporate environment required - Strong Microsoft Excel experience - Prior experience with journal entries and reconciliations required - Experience working in the Insurance industry considered a strong asset, along with IFRS 17 - Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related is preferred (but not required) - Strong technical abilities, communication skills, and initiative Robert Half is the world #39;s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
