Job Description

Are you detail-oriented with a knack for numbers We #39;re looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our growing team! In this role you #39;ll be responsible for weekly cheque deposits, monthly reconciliation and processing AP bills will precision. If you #39;re someone who thrives in a fast paced dynamic environment this might be the role for you! Key Responsibilities: Cash Management

  • Weekly cheque deposits
  • Summarized expected cash flow weekly (incoming and outgoing funds)
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts to Intacct
  • Monitoring and reconciling credit card activity
Accounts Payable
  • Processing AP bills on AP data warehousing system (Stampli)
  • Weekly review of vendor aging and proposed AP payment
  • Completing verbal confirmation of banking information with new vendors.
  • Processing of AP payment (ACH and Wire Payments) including entering into system
  • Processing and coordinating Expense Reports including coding
  • Monthly reconciliation of AP General Ledger to Subledger
Accounts Receivable
  • Regular maintenance of Box Office inbox
  • Data entry of Box Office Reports into theatrical booking system
  • Weekly invoicing of independent theatres and other customers as required
  • Application of received payments (cheques, direct deposits and ACH payments)
  • Monthly reconciliation of AR General Ledger to Subledger
  • Weekly review of AR aging and long outstanding receivables
  • AR follow-up with customers on outstanding balances (weekly)
Ad hoc
  • Assisting in quarterly royalty reporting
  • Supporting distribution team as required during quarterly close process (roll forward schedules, working papers, etc.)
  • Supporting production team, as required, preparation of Development Cost analysis.
  • Assist with recurring audit support
Compensation
  • Salary: $45,000 - $50,000
  • Vacation: starting at two (2) weeks per year, plus one (1) week company closure over Winter holidays
  • Hybrid work model, in office Mon-Wed and work remotely Thurs/Fri

  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal communication)
