Job Description

  • Ensure the execution of all fund setups, mergers, conversions, name changes, zmfr table, and sundry duties on a daily basis
  • Ensure the investigation and responding to emails and phone inquiries for Fund Setup and the Order Entry inboxes on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the execution of all automated and manual mutual funds purchase/ redemption/ switch orders on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the execution of all Offshore mutuals purchases/ redemptions/ switches/ transfer approvals/ cancellations l on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the execution, reconciliation, and follow-up of all automated and manual Internal Account Transfers (IATs) on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the execution of all NFUs (address, name and account changes) on a daily basis.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the Order Entry Department.
  • Provide direct support for Investment Executives, Sales Assistants, and Fund Companies in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for fund setups ,order placement, and IATs in an efficient manner while maintaining SLAs.
  • Errors may lead to large financial loss to the firm
Requirements:
  • Must possess a solid understanding of mainframe systems including FundSERV, mySERV, Dataphile,Desktop, Exenet Dataphile, Broadridge (HOD) and suitable PC skills.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures, both internal and industry-wide.
  • Be familiar with fund products and mutual fund industry standards.
  • Excellent time management skills are necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to maintain solid relationships with both internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma, post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • Canadian Securities Course and IFIC courses are preferred but not required
