We currently have a Temporary Part-time (0.47 FTE) opportunity for an Activity Aide in the Veteran’s Centre, located at the Bayview Campus.Hours of Work: Weekdays: Days, Evenings, 5 hrs; As per scheduleAlternating Weekends: Days, Evenings, 5 hrs; As per scheduleStatutory Holidays RequiredSummary of Duties:The Activity Aide, under the leadership of the Activity Aide Supervisor, assists residents to participate in a variety of meaningful activities. These activities include but are not limited to:Engaging residents in one-to-one recreational activitiesEscorting residents to and from recreation programs, both on the unit and off the unitPreparing residents for meals and assisting as requiredProviding cueing and support to residents regarding their personal care (e.g. assisting to washroom) when requested by staffParticipate in educational activities and other duties as requiredThe Activity Aide works collaboratively with the inter-professional team to maintain and enhance the quality of life for the residents.
