Join us on our journey.The Office of the Registrar is responsible for student recruitment and admissions, direct and online service to current students, including registration, financial aid, scholarships, academic assessments, graduation and petitions. Recognizing that Black, Indigenous, and other Racialized communities have experienced inequities that have developed historically and are ongoing, we strongly welcome and encourage candidates from those communities to apply.Your opportunity:Working under the general direction of the Assistant Registrar and Manager of Admissions you will provide exemplary customer service by advising prospective students, applicants, current students, guidance counsellors and parents about programs of study, admission requirements and transfer credit processes. You will work with a variety of prospective student audiences (domestic, international, transfer, pathway) and with stakeholders internal to the university. Your excellent organizational skills and attention to detail will help to ensure that applications are complete and move through the application process in an efficient way and you will prepare admission and transfer credit applications for assessment. With strong data and technical skills, you will track files and ensure that processes are completed in a timely way. You will act as an expert resource to a group of student staff. You will be a part of a team of professionals working together to recruit and admit the next incoming class of students to the campus.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicants
  • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
  • Applying established standards when administering a process for consistent evaluation of applications
  • Applying established standards when administering a process for consistent evaluation of transfer credits
  • Analyzing domestic academic documents to assess credentials against University equivalencies
  • Updating and maintaining database records
  • Updating and maintaining documentation
  • Preparing draft correspondence using templates
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience in a post-secondary environment, providing front-line service to students and administering policy and processes related to academic regulations.
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with CRM databases and student information systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must enjoy working with students in a culturally diverse campus and like the challenge of a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of post-secondary educational systems.
