Job Description

What is the opportunityReporting to the Director, Financial Communications, the Advisor will play an important role in supporting all aspects of delivering engaging, informing and inspiring CFO Group employees through the delivery of creative and compelling internal communications and employee events. In this role, you will manage the communications channels through which we reach this global audience and apply your storytelling abilities to support the development of content that helps tell the story of how CFO Group colleagues leverage their imaginations and insights to bring RBC’s Purpose and values to life.What will you doManage and enhance key employee digital communications channels, including monthly newsletter, intranet platforms and email distributionsDraft creative and compelling internal content (ie blogs, Connect and newsletter stories) that applies a storytelling approach to articulating how the CFO Group lives RBC’s Purpose and valuesSupport the development, execution and evaluation of employee town halls and other key internal eventsContribute to the development of leadership briefing notes, communications and key message documentsMeasure and evaluate the effectiveness of the CFO Group’s communications strategies and initiativesShare intelligence and best practices with communications colleagues, and partner on key enterprise-wide employee engagement prioritiesContribute to the success of RBC Brand, Marketing, Communications & Citizenship’s overarching goals, including instilling a strong ONE RBC cultureWhat do you need to succeedMust-have3+ years of internal communications, digital communications or public relations experienceExperience managing digital communications channels, as well as a passion for exploring and applying emerging employee communications trends and best practicesCreative and innovative storytelling expertise with an ability to distill complex information into compelling contentExperience executing large-scale employee engagement events, such as town hallsStrong writing, presentation and collaboration skillsAn ability to assess and measure the impact of communications initiativesNice-to-haveUndergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related fieldProject management experienceKnowledge of the financial services industryWhat’s in it for youWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
