We are pleased to offer in-home and community-based services across the Greater Toronto Area including Etobicoke, North York, Markham, Thornhill, Toronto, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, and Richmond Hill.For more information, please visit our website.About the OpportunityABA Academy is seeking a highly motivated Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Training Specialist to join our team in Toronto, ON, on a full-time basis.Reporting to our Program Manager, the ABA Training Specialist will work internally with our senior clinical team to create engaging virtual training programs while providing onsite coaching, mentoring, and training to ABA Therapists at client locations across the GTA.Some of your key responsibilities within this role will include:
  • Facilitating and administering training workshops using training guidelines developed by ABA Academy
  • Engaging trainees in a positive learning environment by facilitating individual and group training sessions using Behavior Skills Training (BST)
  • Identifying the individualized learning needs of the trainees
  • Providing constructive feedback to trainees, evaluating trainees, and administering quality assurance checks using ABA Academy’s training standards
  • Participating in team meetings and providing updates on the progress of assigned trainees
  • Reporting any issues to the Program Manager to ensure program consistency
  • Participating in curriculum development and training, as required
  • Coordinating, preparing, and organizing training workshop materials (e.g. handouts), the learning environment, and resources before and during each session/workshop
  • Traveling to client locations to provide onsite coaching, mentoring, and training as required
More About YouIn order to qualify for this role, you will need to possess or be working towards a Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and/or Adult Education. You’ll also join us as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or willing to work towards this certification. Experience working as an Instructor Therapist with special needs children, clinical supervision, and experience in training clinical staff are strong assets for this position. A valid drivers license, access to a vehicle, and the willingness to travel across the Greater Toronto Area are required, along with a recent Criminal Record check. First Aid/CPR training would be an asset.As our ideal candidate, you possess excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills. You have strong computer literacy and presentation skills, and always present yourself in a professional manner. Your ability to work collaboratively with team members while providing valuable knowledge and feedback will ensure your success in this role.Above all, your ability to think critically to provide needs-based and individualized training, and your passion for building relationships will set you apart from others.About the BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a salary of $55-$66k/yr, commensurate with experience.
