The successful applicant must be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor at the University of Toronto. Experience or training in gynecologic pathology would be an asset, but other areas of added focus will be considered. Interest in placental pathology and/or perinatal/fetal and adult autopsy pathology would be an asset. The start date will be mutually agreed upon.We are a very collegial group, with a strong culture of scholarship. The successful candidate will provide excellence in a surgical pathology diagnostic clinical practice with a degree of subspecialty practice, be expected to participate in frozen section diagnosis and participate in after-hours call. The successful candidate will also contribute to the academic mission of the Department via participation in collaborative research, undergraduate teaching and residency training programs. The Department’s strategic plan includes a focus on diagnostic innovation, test utilization and clinical engagement. Interest in one of these areas would be an asset.Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the province of Ontario and must hold postgraduate qualifications in Pathology. Fellowship training or demonstrated subspecialty expertise/commitment is favoured. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.Compensation for this full-time, permanent position will be in accordance with the uniform level of compensation in the Province of Ontario (currently $374,876.55).
