Today, it is one of the worlds great law schools. The Facultys rich academic programs are complemented by its many legal clinics and public interest programs. The Faculty of Law is housed in the elegant, state-of-the-art Jackman Law Building, alongside two historic buildings, Flavelle House and Falconer Hall, on the St. George Campus in downtown Toronto.Your opportunity:Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, Academic, the Assistant Registrar, Records is responsible for overseeing the integrity of the degree granting process and supporting the Faculty of Law in all aspects of the administration of student academic records for the JD Program. Major duties include setting priorities for the office, supervising casual staff during examination periods and ensuring the quality of registrarial services to students and other stakeholdersYour responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and updating student records
  • Coordinating the submission process of student grades/marks
  • Verifying and reconciling data errors
  • Monitoring student degree progress
  • Advising staff on the interpretation of academic regulations and its impact to student records and assessments
  • Reviewing and assessing student records to confirm eligibility to graduate
  • Collecting and submitting grades
  • Organizing, summarizing and circulating program and/or course evaluations
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years directly related experience in admissions and/or registrars office setting
  • Experience in a front line customer facing role
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a large numberof student records on a computerized system
  • Experience advising students on course and credit requirements
  • Experience overseeing exam activities
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience working with databases, student portals, etc.
  • High level of proficiency with University systems (ACORN/ROSI) or similar systems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
