The canadidate is responsible for development, enhancement and operations of Investment Risk B.I. (Tableau) dashboards. Work with senior management and risk professionals to create/enhance visualization tables, charts and graphs to support day-to-day risk analytics reporting and analysis. The candidate will utilize B.I. reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) as “story-telling” tool to communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in simple but attractive format tailored to a wide-range of audience groups.The candidate is also responsible for Data Governance process of risk reporting activities on a daily basis and preparing timely and accurate data health monitoring reports to production reporting team. The candidate will ensure that holdings data, market data and reference data are completely captured and accurately represented in risk systems through exceptions reviews, reasonability checks, position reconciliations and other established processes to safeguard the quality of risk estimates.Additionally, the candidate may require to participate in daily production risk reporting activities when needed and capacity permits. The candidate is expected to develop a deep working knowledge of data flow in risk infrastructure and understanding of constraints and limitations associated with processes. The candidate is expected to constantly identifying improvements opportunities, include directly design of solutions to address process weaknesses. The candidate will facilitate, where appropriate, user testing and integration of tactical and system monitoring tools into daily production reporting activities.Qualifications

• Experience working with a non-relational database (SQL and Oracle)
• Proficient with Data Wrangling tools and scripting languages (Python and SQL)
• Experience with prototyping/developing visualization reports on Tableau to achieve data analutics “storytelling” and communicate key insights
• Provide on-going support function/enhancement to visualization reports
• Perform established suite of Holdings, Market Data and Reference Data checks on a daily basis to monitor general data health and to surface any potential errors
• Apply exceptions management principles to discards/rejects (identification, prioritization, remediation, escalation and documentation) from operational processes/systems
• Present significant data/PV/risk discrepancies with supporting analysis and details to the attention of process owners and relevant stakeholders as frequent as daily
• Develop and maintain specific operational procedures and schedules for data governance activities
• Work with data service departments and/or T&D partners to identify and source necessary position, market and reference data to fulfill risk measurement practices

If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you:

• 3 – 5 years of work experience in financial industry with a focus on Risk Management areas using modern B.I. reporting applications
• Previous work experience in an operational role would be a strong asset
• May require to accommodate early work shift (8am to 4pm) to support critical daily compliance monitoring requirements
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Math or other relevant discipline with a strong appetite for quantitative and statistical data
• Professional designation; CFA, CA, CAIA, FRM or other would be an asset
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
• Solid working knowledge in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Flexibility and adaptability
