Please reach out to us to learn more!Preamble:Hydro One is planning a project to modernize meters and associated infrastructure to enable future flexibility, choice and cost savings. This is a multi-year, multi-disciplinary project to bring modern features to customers (such as customer-focused “apps” on the meter) and our operations (such as sensors running on the AMI 2 network). This project is unique in many ways and provides its team members a rewarding and challenging work environment as well as opportunities to contribute towards its success at every level.Job Function:Perform project management activities throughout project life cycles.Contribute to project strategies and plans. Assist in preparation ofintegrated project plans, master schedules forecasts and riskassessments. Assist in determining alternative plans for work. Providesupport in project analysis, monitoring and control.1.Assist and provide support to the project manager through thelife cycle, assisting with issues of performance, scheduling andcontrol. Perform tasks and produce deliverables critical to the successof the project, within defined objectives. Support the project team inits needs for internal resources, material resources and managementsupport.2.Assist and support the definement of risk, as it would pertain toidentification, quantification, response development and responsecontrol through out the course of a project by establishing a projectmanagement process for identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, planning,implementing, evaluating and documentation. Communicate risk responsethrough acceptance, avoidance or mitigation.3.Provide support on project analysis/tracking/financial data forproject management activities through all phases of systems project lifecycles, including needs assessment, business case development, approval,implementation and transition to operational status.4.Assist in the development of project strategies, plans,consultation requirements and support development of project managementspecific strategies pertaining to assets, technology and systems.Provide effective recommendations and analysis for project specific forcost savings.5.Assist in studies and planning sessions relative to alternativeplans for performing work. Discuss such studies with other projectpersonnel and assist in producing recommendations for appropriatealternative work sequences and methods taking into considerationsworkable project solutions. Produce planning and control documentation,using appropriate documentation and analytical tools such as PC based,integrated cost and schedule, project management software.6.Assist in monitoring the progress of the project and maintain theMS Project Plan, update status and metrics, work with project leads ofassigned projects, assist with administering internal cross project teamcommunications, training, and logistical support on behalf of theproject.7.Supervise and delegate work to assigned staff. Organize, monitorand control the daily work activities to ensure that objectives areachieved in an organized and efficient manner and in compliance with theCollective Agreements, Company policies, procedures and standards.8.Perform other duties as required.At Hydro One we understand that the success and strength of our business rests with our people.
