You will offer insightful guidance across various areas, including assurance, tax, complex accounting, restructuring, acquisitions, and more.This role offers a unique blend of learning from experienced senior leaders and collaborating with innovative young associates.About the Position:The firm values diversity and ensures that every team member is essential in promoting skill development across various clients and industries.As a Manager, you will understand the client needs deeply, offering counsel on diverse topics such as assurance, tax, complex accounting, and more.You will leverage senior leaders #39; wisdom and junior associates #39; fresh perspectives.Summary of Responsibilities:Professionalism:- Manage assigned projects with a focus on financial oversight.- Supervise and guide a team to uphold quality standards.- Mentor less experienced staff through coaching and training.- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing clients.Technical: - Oversee complex tasks in areas such as audit, review, tax, and more.- Uphold quality control throughout projects.- Tackle special assignments with expertise.- Apply specialized knowledge to address client-specific issues.Interpersonal:- Lead and allocate team resources effectively.- Manage the financial aspects of projects.- Responsively address client inquiries and feedback. Development:- Stay updated with industry developments.- Promote the firm #39;s brand and consulting prowess.- Foster productive client relationships.Summary of Experience:- 5+ years in public accounting.Requirements:- University Accounting degree.- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.- Proficiency in Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).- Strong tax knowledge.- Experience leading and mentoring teams.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.- Familiarity with accounting and tax software like Quickbooks, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep, and Simply Accounting.Powered by JazzHR
