We crunch the data, consult with our partners and stakeholders, and present our findings to mitigate the risks of today and around the corner and help keep our daily operations running smoothly for our customers.Job DescriptionThis role reports to the SVP & Deputy Chief Auditor with dual reporting to the SVP & Chief Auditor AMCB and is a member of the Audit Senior Management Team. The AVP Audit, Professional Practice and Audit of the Future, will be responsible to lead all functions of the Professional Practice team and the Audit of the Future Strategy. The general accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Strategy and Audit Methodology: Audit Methodology, Audit of the Future strategy and governance, Road to Strong management, Audit PracticesAudit Technology: Audit technology support, including TD SMART, Business Continuity Management, EDGO (Lead Data Steward), Health and Safety, Real EstatePeople Programs and Business Management: Employee Experience Committee, Pulse Action Plans, Annual Skills Assessments, L&D Strategy and Training, Division Communications, Associate/Co-op and intern program strategy and oversight, Finance and Vendor Management, Global Audit Administrative support coordination, Risk OfficerRegulatory Program and Reporting ManagementReporting and Analytics: Management and Board reporting, Annual Planning and Pipeline Management, Scheduling, Timekeeping and Utilization Reporting, Privacy Designate & Compliance liaisonLead and execute the Audit of the Future Strategy including Go Digital, Be Agile, Live One TD and Get Fresh PerspectivesLead and/or participate in workstreams related to Internal Audit's involvement in Project MERLIN (Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance platform project)Job RequirementsUndergraduate degree required; Post Graduate degree preferredProfessional Accreditation such as Chartered Professional Accountant would be an assetOther Qualifications/Skills/Experience:Previous experience developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long termProven ability in leveraging deep subject matter expertise to align teams to a central vision, while also listening and engaging others to provide input in the shaping of that visionProven ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of professionalsStrong people management skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing teamsStrong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employeesStrong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with senior management at all levelsSkillful communication (written and verbal), negotiation and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input but remain objective to reach the right outcome - ability to stay resilient under pressureDemonstrated relationship building skills, with the ability to make things happen through the use of positive influenceStrong people leader who possesses the ability to effectively work in teams across the bank with multiple stakeholders and to influence and align othersExpertise in working effectively in teams – requires a track record of working cross-organizationally and with multiple stakeholders at varying levelsRobust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesExcellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quoDemonstrated experience successfully leading a large-scale change initiativeProven successful client relationship management skillsAdditional InformationAssociate Vice Presidents (AVPs) at TD Bank Group (TDBG) contribute to the overall reputation of TD.
