Job Description

Our values of quality, innovation and relationships enable us to provide exceptional service and lie at the heart of everything we do.Position: Baker + Kitchen AssistantLocation: Queen St. EastStarting Pay: $18.00 per hourWere looking for a full-time Baker + Kitchen Assistant to join our Bakery team located at our Queen East cafe. You must thrive in a quality focused environment and work efficiently amongst a diverse, friendly, and professional team. Our hope is that you have a passion for and interest in all things coffee and baked goods, and are willing to grow and learn amongst other enthusiasts!Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake food products, assuring the quality and consistency of each product;
  • Accurately following recipes, daily schedules, recording waste;
  • Count and package orders for Pilot and wholesale orders;
  • Receive, stock, rotate and organize products;
  • Follow daily and weekly task/cleaning checklists;
  • Follow health and safety standards and checklists;
  • An understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Pilot Coffee Roasters;
  • All other reasonable duties assigned by the company.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in food preparation or in any kitchen position is a requirement;
  • Possession of Food Handler Certification is preferred;
  • Completion of formal education in baking/pastry making is preferred.
