Job Description

Ma Maison is a French Bakery located in Etobicoke.We are looking for a Barista and Cashier with great customer service.Position:

  • Part time or Full time position (part time : 2-5 days per week)
  • Weekend needs for sure. Both stores.
Requirement:
  • Dundas Opening hours : Sunday & Monday (8-4pm), Tuesday to Saturday (8-6pm).
  • Bloor Opening hours : Sunday & Monday (Closed), Tuesday - Friday (10-4pm), Saturday & Sunday (9-4pm).
  • Must be available on weekends.
  • Serving coffee, espresso, viennoiseries, dessert, pack hot food, etc.
  • Ensuring excellence in customer service at all times.
  • Duties include serving pastries, handling cash, providing a clean and comfortable store environment, as well as maintaining general store needs according to the store manager’s directions.
  • Operated cash register (POS system : Poynt).
  • Knowledge of utilizing and cleaning an espresso machine
  • Marking and counting inventory
  • Cleaned up, wiped tables
  • Cleaned both Mens and Womens bathrooms after each closing shift
  • Mopped and swept entire restaurant floor. Cleaned equipment thoroughly, disposed trash, closed registers and carried out other closing duties
  • Setting up the restaurant (filling containers, re-filling condiment station, ensuring water station is set, etc.) and carried out other opening duties.
  • Restocked drink fridge accordingly; received loads of drinks and unpacked each.
  • Increased purchase totals by recommending additional items, services and add ons.
  • Will be train for baking if interest.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 1 years experience as a barista preferred
  • Experience in cafe/restaurant
  • Smart Serve certificate
  • Food Handler certificate
  • Motivated and engaging
  • Reliable and able to work independently for Opening & Closing.
  • Able to provide prompt service
  • Able to work under pressure short rush.
  • Have a great attitude
  • Hardworking
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, French is a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Autonomist
