Software Developer, Intermediate (MS Power Fx)Location: Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site (Peterborough, Guelph, Toronto, Sault St. Marie, Sudbury)Term: 6 Months plus ExtensionWorkday: 7.25 HoursThe Developer will build upon an existing Power Apps with Data verse system incorporating all processes from the planning process. Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications in the Power Platform environment. This includes: developing detailed programming specifications writing and/or generating code compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests. Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrationsTechnical Must Haves:Powrer Apps and Data VerseMS Power Platform (Power Fx – low-code language)Knowledge and experience with Power Apps and Data verse in the Power PlatformExperience in designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting applicationsExperience in one or more programming languagesExperience with relational database concepts and technologiesExperience in the use of informational retrieval packages using query languagesExperience with report development using Microsoft Power BIDESIRABLE SKILLSKnowledge and experience with programming Microsoft Power Platform applications.Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues.Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team.Knowledge of user experience design principles.Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.Ability to provide user and system documentation as required.PUBLIC SECTOR EXPEIRENCEAbility to work in an OPS IT Cluster-provisioned Power Platform environmentKnowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards Ability to provide user and system documentation as required
