Private ClientWe are an innovative and entrepreneurial insurance brokerage and employee benefits consulting firm based in Toronto with offices in Vancouver and Montreal. We have an exciting opportunity in our growing Toronto office for an property and casualty insurance broker on our Private Client team.Role Description:As a broker at PRL, a typical day might include the following:Providing professional and knowledgeable servicing of client accounts;Analyzing, counselling, and recommending coverages with the highest level of integrity;Providing new business quotations to prospective clients;Exercising your highly developed relationship building skills with a focus on customer relations;Conveying complex, detailed information in a clear and concise manor;Conducting thorough annual client renewal reviews of all policies 30-45 days in advance of renewal;Providing general administrative support to the Private Client team; preparation of Insurance Summaries, renewal/endorsement letters and processing of endorsements (ie. portals);Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of policy documents prior to the delivery to the client;Processing of client payments and invoicing as well as handle client billing inquiries;Managing of incoming mail and e-docs; attaching to epic where required;Assisting the Private Client brokers in preparing new business quotations in a timely and accurate manner;Exercising your skills at re-marketing and quoting new business;Negotiating policy terms with insures and presenting submissions and policy requests in a professional and timely manner;Contributing to premium growth targets by up-selling and cross-selling new coverages and product lines;Assisting and counselling clients on claims and loss mitigation measures;Maintaining all files in accordance with Best Practices.This job might be right for you if you:Have a minimum 2-5 years of P&C experience working with Personal Lines clients;Possess a valid RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) License;Have a post secondary education or related job experience;Have knowledge in EPIC (asset);Are proficient in Compu Quote, MS Word and Excel;Are proficient working with various insurer portals; RSA, Intact, Aviva, Economical, Northbridge;Have a working knowledge of High Net Worth insurers and MGAs (asset).Thrive on paying attention to details, and work well under the pressure of deadlines and multiple priorities;Are focused and motivated to execute your responsibilities in an efficient, accurate, complete and timely manner;Have excellent oral and written communication skills;Are a driven and enthusiastic learner who’s always looking to improve and develop;Enjoy collaborating and working closely with teams; andAre committed to attaining or exceeding client expectations.If this opportunity is right for you, please submit your resume and cover letter by email to careers@purvesredmond.com and reference the Job ID above.
