Job Description

In the event the position is not filled with a bargaining unit member, it will be reposted and open to all general applicants.Role summary:To directly monitor the day to day operational systems in the CF Toronto Eaton Centre Complex.You will:

  • Assist tenants with problems related to HVAC and facilities operation
  • Respond to fire alarms according to the standing procedures
  • Perform preventative maintenance work and repairs on the HVAC equipment and equipment facilities as assigned by Senior Building Operator
  • To monitor electronic hydro metering
  • To monitor GE lighting control system
  • Keep Operator Class I informed of important issues related to the operation of the complex and tenant requests
  • Liaise with operations staff and supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor within the general scope of the work
  • Respond and complete all relevant work orders.
You have:
  • Grade 12 diploma with trade accreditation
  • BES 1 and 2 or equivalent certification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with large industrial/commercial operations
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, Building Automation and Fire Alarm Systems in office buildings and shopping centres
  • Ability to complete projects as assigned by the Senior Building Operator
  • Ability to liaise with tenants
  • Team player attitude
