  • Perform requirement gathering, use case analysis and design, and process and gap fit analysis to ensure compatibility and interoperability of processes and systems
  • Perform requirement engineering, process modelling, and cost benefit analysis
  • Gather functional and technical requirements using techniques such as interviews, surveys, document analysis, workshops, and process analysis
  • Create a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and data driven solutions for the organization
  • Develop software requirement specifications and related artifacts (e.g., Detailed Design, BRD, work context diagrams, swim lane diagrams, process flows, and use cases)
  • Create design documentation, including preparation of end-user training materials and course delivery
  • Meet with decision-makers, product managers, process and system owners, and end-users to understand and define business operation requirements. Drive and lead simplification.
  • Work closely with the Operational Excellence Group, to review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. Research alternative solutions to meet new and existing business requirements.
  • Together with the Product Manager, evaluate and make recommendations on proposed business solutions based on user needs, product research, and business financial analyses (cost/benefit analysis, return on investment analysis, etc.), allowing management to make informed decisions
  • Collaborate through Agile projects with the product manager, business process owners and users and developers to keep Jira cards, and/or project documentation up to date and accurate
  • Serve as the “go-to” authority on requirements for the development and QA team
  • Actively participate with QA in acceptance testing
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
  • Work closely with the organization, as a trusted adviser to understand priorities, plan BA work, and provide desired outputs in a timely manner
Core skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related area
  • CBAP or equivalent certification
  • Five to eight years of progressive experience in a Business Analyst role, participating at a senior level in large, complex projects related to business process improvement, system selection and implementation
  • Three to five years’ experience or demonstrated knowledge of:
    • full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Development methodologies
    • system testing processes and methodology
    • process modelling techniques and documentation
  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems, including Dynamics CRM and F&O
  • Advanced knowledge of back-end services like APIs, data and system services
  • Working experience using related SDLC and CI (continuous integration) tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jenkins, Azure environment (dev ops)
  • Advanced skills with Windows, Microsoft Office, Visio, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with technical architecture, including portals, middleware, cloud integration, and identity management
  • Experience working with senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders
  • Excellent listening, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
Desired skills and experience:
  • PMP certification is desired
