Location: Remote. Our production facility is in Waterloo. Part of the job can be done from home. Travel around Ontario is required as we meet prospective customers and grow accounts. Flexible / this role will manager their own schedule.About us: Pierogi House is a growing food brand, hand making pierogies for our restaurants and wholesale customers. In 2015, Jacek opened the first Pierogi House restaurant in Kitchener. We are a fun group of passionate foodies, who have the best job in the world, selling pierogies!This position: The Business Development Manager is a newly created role responsible for the Sales and Account Management of existing Retail and Food Service accounts, in addition to building new partnerships and business opportunities within the food sector. Customer accountability ranges from key Strategic and Regional Accounts to Distributor Management.The right candidate is a team player that enjoys an entrepreneurial result driven environment where their personality, dedication, excellent communication and organizational skills can thrive. The wholesale business was launched in early 2022, and is still in infancy, with many open possibilities for growth and improvement.Responsibilities: · Develop and execute actionable quarterly key account management plans to achieve growth targets (revenue and profit) with existing and new customers (distributors and direct to grocery)· Lead planning calendar with actionable steps for achieving sales goals· Lead strategic business initiatives & develop joint business plans with key distributors, and retail partners· Negotiate annual agreements, promo activity, RFPs, price increases & costing with customers· Deliver accurate forecasts for the Customer base working closely with the Kitchen· Responsible for the day-to-day management of key accounts and trade partners and distributors. Provide total account management and advocate on behalf of key accounts with a strategic sensibility, navigating both customer needs and brand goals.· Calendarize store visits and provide visit reports along with store visit checklists / areas of opportunity. Monitor and evaluate competitor activity and products.· Solve any customer challenges, from new product set up to on-time deliveries· Provide best-in-class customer service to all Accounts· Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and wholesalers, to deepen the relationship between the brand and customer as well as provide goodwill for potential new products or new accounts.· Organize and assist with events (food shows, grocery expos, etc.) as requireQualifications: · Must have post-secondary education in business or sales and marketing· Minimum 2 years of related sales experience in the grocery industry· Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills· Computer skills required – Excel / Google Sheets, PowerPoint / Google Slides, Microsoft Office· Self-motivated with high energy, ability to multi-task and execute multiple projects on time and on budget· Strong analytical and negotiation skills· Ability to approach projects with innovative and creative thinking, generating fresh ideas and competitive results· Positive team player who can work effectively with internal and external partners· Demonstrated ability to challenge status quo, influence and drive change and results· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks· Ability to drive is a requirement - Valid G driving licenseJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Up to $120,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
